SLA awards tenders for Dempsey Road properties to Power Moves and Florte Design

Power Moves’ quote features centers like a pilates center, aesthetic centre, a café, and spaces giving health counselling and many other wellness-based services. The center will also deliver community campaigns such as outdoor fitness and meditation courses, walkathons and themed pop-up functions to draw crowds.

She adds that the higher weightage of the premium component in recent tenders at Dempsey is a testament to SLA’s efforts in pursuing ideas that will inject excitement to the district.

Florte Design’s bid of $17,904 pm presented the third highest price proposal obtained for the real estate. However, it had the highest combined score based on both fee (which brought a 40% weightage) and quality (60% weightage).

Florte Design aims to open up a marketplace for retail flower and lifestyle product on the place with an all-day coffee shop offering floral-infused drinks. The property will even feature a fitness studio and a versatile event space-cum-photo studio with botanic arrangements.

The units at 13 Dempsey Road occupy an estimated land area of 5,423 sq ft and have a GFA of around 4,905 sq ft.

Power Moves is a pilates studio that at present runs at Novena Specialist Centre. The center forwarded a bid of $41,200 per month (pm), surpassing four many other bids for the site.

Curio Home Accents provided the best cost quote of $40,000 pm. Additional bidders include Lotusonwater Feng Shui ($21,700 pm), Maywell Lifestyles ($13,244 pm), V-Zug Singapore ($12,500 pm), Elliott’s Antiques ($12,000 pm), Estudio Technologies ($10,800 pm) and Petizen ($5,000 pm).

The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have granted two different tenders for real properties around Dempsey Roadway. Both tenders come with a starting five-year contract, with the option to expand for an additional title of 4 years.

The tenders for both spots finalized on May 29 and were assessed based upon cost and premium elements.

Additionally, Florte Design means to work with local artists, performers and close-by organizations to deliver cross-promotional activities and foster group interaction.

“Our initiatives to launch new creative ideas to Dempsey are starting to materialize,” claims Carrie Wong, director of business planning and development department at SLA.
